The Asian Journal of Economics and Banking (AJEB), affiliated to the Ho Chi Minh University of Banking, formerly known as the Journal of Banking Technology, published its first issue in 2004. In 2017 , the Journal began publishing the English version, and from January 1, 2019, both English and Vietnamese versions were renamed to Asian Journal of Economics and Banking – AJEB) These are important milestones marking the process of internationalization, expanding the field and sphere of influence of the Journal. AJEB has become an open-access international journal, publishing high-quality articles as well as the latest and highly influential economic research, especially banking and finance sector. From June 2020, the English version has been officially published on the database of Emerald International Publishing House. All articles are reviewed according to a strict process according to international standards. According to Vietnam Citation Gateway, AJEB belongs to the group of 4 economic-business journals with the highest Impact Factor. And according to the decision No. 42/QD-HDGSNN of the State Council for Professor Titles, AJEB belongs to the group of 20% of the highest scoring economic journals.
The editorial board of the English version of AJEB Review has 29 members. In which, 4/29 (14%) members of the Editorial Board are from HUB, 25/29 (86%) are international experts from different countries including the US, Canada, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Russia, Thailand, Japan and Taiwan. Members of the Editorial Board have an international reputation, coming from different countries with a variety of specialties in line with the goals and scope of the Journal.
For the Vietnamese version of the Asian Banking and Economic Review, the editorial board consists of 15 people. In which, 6/15 (accounting for 40%) are members of the Editorial Board within the Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City, 9/15 (accounting for 60%) are members outside the Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City.
