In order to train high-quality human resources in the context of the 4.0 industrial revolution to meet the country's socio-economic development requirements, quality issues and quality assurance of educational institution and the training program is a matter of great concern to society. Today, the competition in the field of education in many countries makes education quality accreditation become even more urgent, not only for the purpose of improving quality in a sustainable way, but also for affirming the quality of education. These activities determine the prestige and raise the brand value of educational institutions; and served as a basis for the higher education institution to explain to the council, competent authorities, stakeholders and the society about the current status of their training quality. Moreover, it helps learners choose schools, choose suitable majors; and helps employers identify and select good quality human resources. On the basis of the results of quality accreditation, the recommendations of the external assessment team, the management levels have the chance to adjust and innovate the mechanism, and make appropriate investment policies for education and training to meet the country's development requirements towards international integration.

Recognizing the importance of this important work, Ho Chi Minh University of Banking (HUB) soon identified quality assurance as one of the key tasks of the University, in which quality assurance is an important step. The university has developed a systematic and synchronous roadmap and plan for quality assurance and prepared necessary and sufficient conditions to ensure the forms and types of assessment and accreditation of successful education quality. From the perception that quality is the survival tool of a university, the Party Committee-Board of the University has focused on directing the functional department to well perform the work of ensuring internal quality and ensuring external quality such as building and operating the quality management system according to the ISO 9001:2015 standards effectively.

On the basis of research, learning, and experience exchange both at home and abroad, especially the political determination of the collective staff, lecturers and employees, HUB has achieved certain achievements in the construction and operation of the quality management system and the work of quality assurance and education quality accreditation. Some achievements in internal and external quality assurance activities can be mentioned as follows:


  • From the 2015-2016 school year, the school started implementing self-assessment at the educational institution level according to the MOET standards, until August 2017 the school successfully carried out external assessment and was granted a quality accreditation certificate. educational institution in December 2017.
  • At the beginning of 2016, the University implemented the work of building a quality management system according to the ISO 9001: 2015 standard by drafting a system of documents, processes, regulations, instructions, forms,... and organized The AFNOR organization of the French Republic assessed and granted the certificate of providing undergraduate and postgraduate training services according to ISO 9001: 2015 standard in July 2017. In December 2020, the school re-evaluated the quality management system according to ISO 9001: 2015 and was certified in January 2021.
  • At the end of 2016, the University implemented self-assessment of 2 training programs (Finance and Banking) according to the AUN-QA standards set, by the end of March 2019, the University successfully carried out external assessment and was approved by AUN-QA. certification of quality accreditation 2 Qualified training programs (specialized training programs in Finance and specialized training programs in Banking).
  • Following the success of 02 training programs that have been certified for quality accreditation according to AUN-QA standards, in the 2019-2020 school year, the university has implemented self-assessment and prepared for evaluation outside of 04 academic programs under AUN-QA (03 bachelor programs in Accounting, International Economics, Business Administration and master's program in Finance - Banking) in March 2022.

Implement a culture of quality on the basis of the PDCA cycle, with the focus and direction of the Party Committee, the School Council and the School Board of Directors together with the tireless efforts of the staff and lecturers, employees, in recent years, HUB has made fundamental and positive changes, contributing to the general development of the education and training industry.
