On February 10, 2023, Ho Chi Minh University of Banking (HUB) held the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement with Griffith University, Australia (GU).

The signing ceremony is the result of the exchange and working efforts between the two universities from 2015 until now. Up to now, HUB and GU have cooperated in a project to improve foreign language ability for HUB students, improve management capacity, policy administration and research through the Australia Awards Fellowship project for staff and lecturers. member and manager of the New Colombo Program short-term student exchange project funded by the Australian Government.

In the past time, HUB and GU have had discussions and worked to unify contents and cooperation programs in order to give HUB learners the opportunity to exchange, exchange and transfer in Australia. Along with that, the two universities discussed academic activities, training, and in-depth research in the fields of international economics, finance, etc. through programs, seminars as well as plans to develop projects and research. New research brings practical benefits to both sides. Following the success in 2015, 2016 and 2017 of the Australia Awards Fellowships project, HUB and GU are currently actively implementing the 18th round of Australia Awards Fellowships project. This is a program managed by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade with the aims to contribute to the development needs of Australia's partner countries in accordance with bilateral and regional agreements. From 2015 up to now, 32 staff and lecturers from the State Bank of Vietnam and HUB with the support of GU and the Australian government have been trained to improve their research and teaching capacity in Australia.

Representative of HUB - Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung and GU representative - Prof. Sarah Todd- Vice Principal in charge of International has signed the cooperation agreement (MOU) and transfer of credits (MOA) between the two schools. The agreement marks an important milestone in the cooperation between the two universities, promising to open up transfer opportunities for HUB students to study at Griffith University - Australia. the course of study between the two parties; academic exchange, research; transfer credits for undergraduate/graduate programs; professional exchange; participate in international conferences and seminars; exchange of students and lecturers.
