According to figures from the Ministry of Education and Training, as of April 2020, there are more than 14,000 Vietnamese students studying in the UK at all levels from English courses to PhD programmes. The UK ranks fourth among English-language study abroad destinations for Vietnamese students. The UK is also a leader in joint training programs (TransNational Education - TNE) with more than 5,100 students studying UK degree programs in Vietnam. The Newton Fund program, launched in 2014, has also been facilitating scientific and research cooperation between the UK and Vietnam in key areas of Vietnam's economic development, such as: health, agriculture, innovation and future cities, environment and life sciences.

I believe that this visit and work in the UK will create conditions to promote more effective and successful higher education cooperation programs between HUB and other advanced universities in the UK in priority areas of the Government and the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam such as digital higher education, innovation, as well as enhancing student and faculty exchanges, training of short courses and improved training programs”.
This trip provides an opportunity to learn from successful experiences and lessons from UK universities in the areas of innovation, digital higher education, accreditation... This is also an opportunity for HUB to strengthen the possibility of cooperation with British universities in the future in the field of developing new training programs such as: Fintech, Logistics, International Business, Data science in Business, Master in Banking and Finance.
