HO CHI MINH UNIVERSITY OF BANKING signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KASIKORNBANK on 5th August 2022 for new collaboration of Human Capital Development and Digital Technology Implementation, in response to the Digital Transformation plan of Ministry of Education and Training.
In the occasion of “Inauguration Ceremony of KASIKORNBANK Ho Chi Minh City Branch”, the signing ceremony was held at Sheraton Saigon Hotel and the MoU was signed by Dr. Nguyen Tran Phuc, Vice Rector of HO CHI MINH UNIVERSITY OF BANKING, and Mr. Pattarapong Kanhasuwan, Executive Vice President of KASIKORNBANK under the witness of representatives from both parties.

KASIKORNBANK was established in Thailand in 1945, and ranked as the second largest Thai bank in terms of market capitalization. Early last year, KASIKORNBANK granted a license from State Bank of Vietnam to operate business in Vietnam, and fully established the first branch in HO CHI MINH CITY. KASIKORNBANK aims to serve all customer segments along with investment in tech start-ups to develop services that meet local demand.

With the alignment of HO CHI MINH UNIVERSITY OF BANKING (HUB)’s visions and KASIKORNBANK’s strategic direction, the MoU is initiated and focused in two main areas; (1) University Digital Transformation which will create a seamless digital experience to students and staff as well as enhance the operational efficiency (2) Human Development by supporting academic activities such as internship program for students to gain valuable experiences in real working environment, and the career development program which will help students explore the potential career path.
