The conference was held at 8:00 am on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 in the form of an online videoconference from the 2nd floor meeting room, Ho Chi Minh University of Banking, No. 36 Ton That Dam, District 1.
The seminar attracted the participation of more than 160 lecturers and researchers from HUB and from other universities such as University of Finance and Accounting, University of Economics - Finance, Banking Academy, Van Hien University, Open University, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, UEH Business Research Institute, National University of Ho Chi Minh City. Besides, HUB is also very honored to welcome guests who are representatives from commercial banks, such as Viet Capital Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank, and many students from different training systems and courses of HUB.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Acting Rector of HUB shared that: Over the past years, the industrial revolution 4.0 and digital transformation are posing opportunities and challenges for business activities in the banking sector. The digital transformation process is expected to change the way of thinking and management towards leaner, more modern and smarter business models. Besides, with the accumulation of abundant customer data, both in terms of quality and quantity, helping the bank understand customers better and lead to the introduction of personalized products, helping the bank to better understand customers. enhance customer experience. The result of this process will be an increase in revenue, reduction of costs and help to add value to banking products and services. However, this process also brings difficulties and challenges for commercial banks from both inside and outside, such as legal regulations, shortage of high-quality personnel, limited technology platform. These are also difficult problems for the bank managers and for the State supervisory agency.
In that context, the Faculty of Banking organized a seminar with the topic closely related to the needs of the current market. And this also shows that HUB is always at the forefront and anticipates market trends. The presentations of the speakers sent to the conference are diverse and have high scientific content. The organizers hope that the results obtained will have many interesting perspectives so that the school can propose and submit to the Governor of the State Bank for practical application for a more effective digital banking transformation in Vietnam.
