On March 21, 2022, Ho Chi Minh University of Banking (HUB) in collaboration with the Southeast Asian University Network (AUN) held the opening ceremony of the 265th accreditation round according to AUN - QA standards for 04 training programs of HUB including: full-time undergraduate program in Business Administration, full-time undergraduate program in International Economics, full-time undergradu

The opening ceremony was held online with the delegation of the AUN Evaluation Team:

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung believes that quality is affirmed as one of the pillars in the development strategy of Ho Chi Minh University of Banking. This assessment contributes to identify and overcome limitations in training, research and university administration activities, thereby improve operational efficiency, affirm the university's prestige and position in the university community, expand cooperation relationships with schools in the region and the world, especially demonstrate the University's commitment to society, bringing benefits to the most important stakeholder- our learners. In 2019, HUB was granted an accreditation certificate by the AUN - QA Council, to grant training programs for 02 bachelor programs: Finance and Banking. Immediately after the successful assessment, the University seriously re-evaluated and recognized the strengths and weaknesses according to the recommendations of the AUN assessment team.

In 2022, HUB will continue to prepare for the accreditation of 04 academic programs: Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Accounting, Bachelor of International Economics and Master of Science. In recent years, the University has focused on developing academic staff, developing and perfecting training programs oriented towards digital transformation, facilities, and IT application in management, operation and construction. strategy building, scientific research, student support….

On behalf of the University's management level, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung - Acting Rector of the University expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders of AUN, the AUN - QA Council, the AUN - AU Secretariat for guiding, supporting and helping HUB during the the last period of time so that today we can evaluate 04 online training programs amid the Covid-19 epidemic situation. The results of this assessment will help the university assess what scale its training program has achieved on the regional assessment standards. Moreover, it helps the University to detect any shortcomings in its training program, where it needs to be overcome in order to be on par with other programs in the same field in ASEAN. In addition, it also helps students and lecturers to study and work in a high quality environment.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, on behalf of the AUN-QA assessment team, Mr. Gerardo Largoza highly appreciates the preparation of the University and the accredited units as well as the efforts of HUB in ensuring training quality and accompaning AUN's activities. With the results of certified programs as well as the lessons learned about ensuring the quality of education in the ASEAN region in recent external assessments, he believes that Ho Chi Minh University of Banking will continue to achieve the expected results.

Assessment activities will take place from March 21 to 25, 2022 on the Zoom meeting platform. The AUN-QA team of experts will work with the University's leaders, the heads of the faculties in charge of 04 training programs, the head of other Departments, the group to write the Self-Assessment Report (SAR), lecturers, support staff, students, alumni, employers of 04 training programs to give a brief report on the results of the assessment. After the Opening Ceremony, the assessors started working in the interview rooms of 04 programs. The school believes that with the thoughtful preparation of the departments, the to-be-accredited programs this time will receive positive results from the evaluation team.
